July 4th – Happy 4th of July. Today we moved our workout “inland” to Lakewood Ranch area to avoid the traffic on the beaches. We had great bike workout with included a 20 TT (time Trial) and some group riding skills.

July 1st – Rain rain go away, please come back another day, because we want to play…. WELL!!!!  We had to cancel tonight’s class due to the weather, we were ok with the wind and the rain, but dodging lightning would make our intervals VERY interesting…  and the weather guy only called for 40% chance of rain for this time, what do you think??

June 27th – Yet another brick Saturday!!! Followed by our first group open water swim and the gulf was a little rough. Today the weather was not that great, but it was still warm on the bike with a well appreciated light rain on the run… After the 2 groups completed their workout, we re-grouped around 9:30 for our first “official” open water swim. We had the “perfect condition” to talk and experience some not so perfect conditions… After a quick talk about rough water condition, we all went for a dip, splash, roll and tossed around by the gulf...click on pictures to see full album.

June 23rd – Great weather for some hill work… Today we did 1 hour of repeats on the Ringling bridge. This was a great workout to build power, strength and improve on bike handling skills. June 20th – LONG and HOT day… I guess I should have read today’s paper Heat advisory “heat index of 110 degree, and stay inside… It was a very hot day, but that didn’t stop us from doing our group Brick. Agnes treated us all thru a great workout as usual, including using her new designed “Lat Cords”… click on pictures to see full album.

June 17th – Rain go away, please come back another day…. THAT DIDN”T WORK!!! Well, the rain didn’t stop us tonight. This group ROCKS!!!! Our recovery strategy for the day included a “social” hours by the pool before dinner at Carraba’s .

Day two started with recap of the previous day and a transition and strength training clinic down by the lake. We them continued with our famous “unusual” brick, 6 mile ride around the lake followed by a 1 mile run (5 times)….  Shower, lunch and time to hit the road back home… click on pictures to see full album.

April 26th - St. Anthony's Triathlon turned into a DUathlon do the rough water condition... most athletes were a bit disappointed with the news… Our guys and girls ROCKED, we will use this race as a tune-up for our Sharks race on May 9th. click on pictures to see full album, including LOTS of pictures of the PROS.

March 28th -20 + miles per hour winds were not able to keep us from training… 1 hour ride followed by a 30 minutes run, followed by Q&A on nutrition. This group will be so ready for the upcoming season…

March 25th -My favorate bike workout, Bridge repeats (again). Today we worked on some fundamental skills for bike handling and gear shifting. One hour of hill repeats is like doing leg press in the gym for an hour… Strength training on the bike.

March 24th -I had the perfect plan for a 2 hour tempo ride, but 5 minutes into what could have been the perfect solo ride I broke my chain… Not to worry, I can deal with this. I drove back the shop and got it fix, now 1 hour into my 2 hour gap, I was ready to ride. What could I do in 1 hour ride? LOTS of bridge repeats, 14 miles worth of hill repeats.
This is a good end to a bad start.

March 21st - Swim clinic today. The weather was perfect and we had the pool all to ourselves. Agnese kept everyone busy for 2 hours full of drills and fun sets in the water. Stay posted for the underwater swim videos.  Click on images to see full gallery.
